A Very Puppy Christmas

You didn't expect to get away with not having to look at puppy's first Christmas, did you?

Diezel age 14 weeks. What a handsome boy he is.

Diezel helps Number One Daughter to build a snowman while BB throws snowballs.

If you listen to Diezel's side of it he actually built the snowman all by himself...

And when he'd had enough of that he helped Number One Son to exercise his ball-throwing arm

Lovely photos. What a great expression in that first one. :)

Yes, when he calms down a bit (maybe in about 8 years time) he's going to have one of those serene, wise faces.

Aw, he's lovely.

He is chunkier, but he looks a lot like Lily, which makes me think she has Alsatian ancestry. They both look like Anubis.

Is he chunkier than Lily? Isn't she a Rottie? i wouldn't have expected him to be chunkier... but he's changing from day-to day. Today he loos leggy and gangly. A couple of daus ago he looked long. I think bits of him grow at different times. The ears, of course, outgrow everything. That's why he looks like Anubis, isn't it? BB said today he looked more like a jackal than a GSD.

He is very handsome- and has a very solemn, intelligent and thoughtful expression. I'm really looking forward to meeting him.

Yeah, that's just to lull you into a false sense of security before he trips you up my chewing your shoelaces and then bites your fingers because he loves you so much that he just can't stop himself!
:-)

Enormous paws!! Hee. That bodes ... well. It just bodes, really. There is boding in those paws.

[identity profile] ferlonda.livejournal.com 2010-01-04 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
Ooh, I like that: boding in those paws. Sounds like a tune title or a spell or something. Neat.

[identity profile] birdsedge.livejournal.com 2010-01-04 02:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup. Nothing bodes more than paws that size on a three-month pup! The toes are long and prehensile. He's already learned to open the (inward opening) back porch door by jumping up, pressing the lever handle and pushing. I'm not letting him near the computer because I figure he'll soon teach himself how to use the keyboard. Before you know it he'll have his own blog on LJ.

Hope the birthday is good and the boys got the piccy of the polar bea... er sorry... puppy. he was our first puppy, many years ago.

He is so cute. And what enormous ears he has.

the handsome!

He will grow into those enormous ears. What an expressive face. He makes me regret that my allergies can't handle that much undercoat (she says, vacuuming her blue heeler weekly...)

Puppy! Ears! Snow!

Eaaarrrrs!

Those are lovely.

Our puppy had a very dull first Christmas! Diezel's looks to have been much more fun.

Awwww - those ears are just fabulous! I almost hope that they always look the same.....
