DVD Meme

Meme: Post a list of the TV series you have on DVD.

(In my own defence a few of these were recorded from the TV and archived to DVD (Like Robin the Hoodie and Heroes) and some were archived to DVD from bought VHS tapes (the first 4 seasons of Star Trek Next Gen f''rinstance) But I have to admit to buying a lot of them. B5, check (all seasons plus movies)
Judging Amy
Slings and Arrows
Torchwood Children of Earth
Wonderfalls
Firefly

We talked about Boston Legal, and about various British series that we love, but we never got around buying DVD collections of same...

I had Wonderfalls but didn't think I'd watch twice so I sold it on Amazon. I should really do that with the Andromedas, Moonlight, Smallville, Supernatural and Ultraviolet, but the others are still ciontenders for being viewed again. Most viewed DVDs? Firefly, Buffy and New Who.

In some ways worse are the ones where the network DIDN'T axe the series, but the DVD releases only covered the first couple of seasons. I have two series like that, the most annoying being The Six Million Dollar Man, which I have two seasons of on DVD, and which had I believe FIVE seasons, meaning that not even half the series was available -- and the DVDs themselves were only released in Europe; the USA has never HAD a home release of this show, which is one of the most culturally iconic ever made.

No US release for the $6m Man? That's mad. I loved that series first time round. I'd read the book, Cyborg' before they made the series and I also loved that.

I have only two series. West Wing and Firefly. I do have Babylon V on VHS. We recorded those as they came out - the only series we ever did that with.

Note, we just committed the extra $40.00 per month for the next tier of DSL, so I can now stroll through the world of LJ.
