Some gorgeous views there. I've seen a little bit of the Rockies, but much further south in Colorado and in the summer, so only a bit of snow on the tops.
Re music. I've been meaning to pick your brains about jazz. I know it's not your field but I know absolutely nothing about the music scene, so you might know more than me!
Basically my 17 year-old nephew plays jazz with the school band and he and his mates have formed a small combo or band or whatever you'd call it. They'd like to play a few gigs, but don't know where to start.
Now our local Welsh folk/rock festival has busking stages where amateurs and youngsters can dip a tentative toe into the water. Do you happen to know of any jazz or general music festivals where this is also done? Nephew is based in Warwick and the lads have transport, so anything in the Midlands area is fine. All I need is the name of some festivals to Google with and then I can leave it up to them. Please don't go to any trouble, but I thought you might be able to point me in the right direction.
