Just watching the live feed of Felix Baumgartner's ascent in the capsule before he jumps & freefalls 23 miles from the edge of space.

The landing was amazing. Not even a stumble. He's broken all but one record, which Joe Kittinger still gets to keep, and that's the longest free-fall. Baumgartner went higher, came down faster and now even holds the record for the highest balloon flight, but he opened his parachute just a little too soon to beat Kittinger's 1960 record. And since Joe Kittinger, now in his 80s, was in the comms seat for Baumgartner's descent it's rather nice that he gets to keep one of his records - for a little longer at least. Kudos all round.

Agreed! It was brilliant to watch live and I'm so glad I did as it felt like one of those landmark monents in history. Like Chuck Yeager!
