The second movie of the final book in the Twilight series. I read the first book because I felt I should (reviewed here) but it left me with absolutely no desire to read the rest of the series, however I have seen four of the five movies. (What can I say, some weeks there's not much else to watch?)

So... Breaking Dawn Part Two was 100 times better than Part One - which is not surprising because Part One was the one where nothing much happened and we spent most of the movie agonising over Bella's pregnancy while knowing she was not going to die because there was another movie to come. So Part One is the build up and Part Two is the payoff where the good vamps square up to the bad vamps in order to protect Edward and Bella's half-immortal child.

The characters all complete their story arcs and there's some tense vamp action, but the ending, though fuzzy-warm is a bit of a cop-out. No spoilers, but you'll see what I mean if you watch it. Ask yourself if the characters are paying a price for their actions.

I'm one of those women who just does not 'get' Robert Pattinson, though. In this, as in the others, he comes over as mawkish.

OK, I'll bite. (See what I did there?) What's a "half-immortal" child? One who only gets to live for half of forever?

The child of an immortal (vampire) and a human. Since it shouldn't be able to happen they aren't sure quite what this means themselves until near the end of the film, so no spoilers.

The premise is that the bad vamps want to kill Bella and Edward's child because they think she's a normal child who's been turned. This apparently is against vamp law as it creates bloodlusty kids who have no self-control and tend to get noticed. You do tend to get noticed when you slaughter a whole village.

He does nothing for me at all, but I think that's probably much to do with the sullen Vampire pout that he puts on throughout the Twilight films. I saw a photo of him on the net when he looked normal and was - horror!!!- SMILING and he looked quite personable, I must admit.

It may be the pout. The Barnsley phrase 'face like a smacked arse' comes to mind.
