Movie of the Week: Promethius

jaceyPlot holes you can drive a bus through, but if you switch off your brain it's a couple of hours of mindless amusement, prettily presented. Some excellent CGI.
Lots of 'What?' moments. Why oh why didn't they have someone old play the old man? The makeup looked as though it was made out of cement and cornflakes.
And I've never yet seen a woman get up from the operating table after having a caesarean and leap about like that. Pulling herself up into a hatchway by her arms was particularly ouch-inducing. I expected her staples to rip and let her bleed out into her space suit.
Anyhow, rather than me bang on about it, watch this instead.
