That's strange re the iPlayer. I've always had excellent playback, even full screen. My computer is a couple of years old and though pretty fast at the time, it's probably a tortoise compared to yours. I've even used the iPlayer satisfactorily on the Eee, but you can't download and have to just watch online. I suppose it's possible there was a glitch just on that one program, but if it happens all the time, perhaps explore the BBC site to see if there's any help to be had there?
Re the Sharp, it's fine. I don't know whether I've gone off Sharpe or whether it's just that the last couple weren't up to the standard of the early ones, but I wasn't really bothered when I couldn't watch the rest. I have all the original Sharpes on video, so if I feel a need for a dose of Sean Bean, I think I'll do better watching those. :)
