This is what it looks like outside my front door right now, well, 7.00 a.m. (It took me 40 mins to download all the pix and file them)
April Snow Front 1 2008

And in the back garden it's like this
Back Garden April 08 Snow

[personal profile] heleninwales wondered where spring had gone. At the time she asked we had it, but we've lost it again. Have you got it today?

I'm afraid spring is here in Seattle. It's lovely here- well, it was today but it's just past midnight now- rainy one minute, shining warm sun the next, though the wind is still on the cold side. I'd send it back to you but I don't want to mess with the weather...

Pretty pictures, though. Makes me think of Maxi's dinners and long hours with you watching silly tv. :)

Yes when it snows I just want to curl up in the living room.

The snow is thawing like mad, now. It will be gone in a couple of hours.

We had it in Middlesex yesterday. The lambs were compensation for having to get up early to get to the meeting.

No, sorry, we haven't got Spring today. She was here on Tuesday afternoon and [livejournal.com profile] del_c says she was in his area yesterday. I see also that she visited Seattle briefly, but has now moved on somewhere else.

What is blatantly obvious from this is that the Department of Seasons is severely understaffed. Spring must be rushed off her feet trying to be everywhere at once. Plainly at one time there were more of them and so everyone could have their Spring at the properly appointed time and for the proper duration.

I can see what will happen next. If we want Spring at all, we'll be told to phone an 0845 helpline. :)

I think she passed through this morning. I'm certain I saw a spot of blue sky. Right now, there is a definite aura of sunshine - bright patches and dark patches, although the sky is grey-in-grey. Very pretty tones of grey, though.

I've got Spring

Yes, thankyou. Clear blue skies and proper sunshine (not the liquid variety) here in sunny Somerset - at least as far at I could see through the translucent panels in the factory roof ... Only 2 days to go though! :)
