Kick in the whatsits
Jan. 7th, 2008 11:35 pmIt's been a grim old year already for those of us on the folk scene. Judy, one of the organisers of a folk club in the North West of England collapsed on stage with a severe stroke on Friday night and is still in a coma. Prognosis not good.
And then I just got a phone call from a friend to say my old mate Les Barker (comedy poet extraordinaire) is in the coronary care unit at Wrexham Hospital after suffering a relatively mild heart attack. Prognosis good, fortunately... presuming he takes care of himself.
