Outfits? I wear things that are essentially mix and match. Ooh, except for my 'bride's mother' outfit I did plan that - and made it all as well.

My mum's 84 and my dad's been dead for twenty years. Strict doesn't enter into it. My mum likes to think she influences me subtly though. Subtle? Yeah, right.

Not bloody likely unless the choice was dying in a burning aeroplane. Even then I'd think twice.

Only the M&S one with prawn or maybe plain with peach halves.

Minor ones and media types: Neil & Glennis Kinnoch, Richard Stilgoe, Sister Wendy (the arty nun), Ned Sherrin and a few other radio types, and I have sung live on BBC Radio4 accompanied by the Doctor (Who) playing spoons. (Sylvester McCoy.) Does that count?

An old string of tiny Christmas stars - a bit dusty - on my office ceiling.

Err... France, Germany, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, Hong Kong, USA, Canada, Australia, Channel Islands and I've touched down in Thailand and Malaysia, but only seen the airports (Bangkok horrible, Singapore gorgeous... just the airports not the places).

I wear mostly black but I love that incandescent shade of turquoise; rich purple, shading towards burgundy; the blue of a clear summer sky and that luminous dark emerald green that almost glows with black-light.

Yes but not recently.

I'd like to think not, but they do.

In relationships? No, I don't think so, but it's never happened to me and I don't expect it will, so that's only hypothetical.

No, I haver an all-you-can-eat phone plan.

Yes

Not on purpose but I often fall asleep in the chair late at night, sometimes with the TV on and sometimes with a book in my lap. I can't get to sleep in bed if there's a radio or TV playing unless I'm exhausted.

Not as good as it used to be, but the varifocals help.

I don't hate anyone. There are a few people I'd rather avoid, but dislike might be a strong word.

Talking to people is part of my business. Phone can't be avoided.
