I'm hoping to be there, yes. Should I volunteer to run something? Voice workshops for filkers??? er... maybe not... I can run a folk festival so helping out at a con should be 'more of the same but different'

'Well done Al' indeed. It's good to see SF writers getting the kind of advances previously only seen for US Fantasy writers.

I doubt it will affect the other Golly writers. They obviously know how much Al is worth to them, so I presume they're not shorting the rest of the budget to pay him big bucks, but rather that it will be self-financing.

BTW, PoA arrived this morning, ut I'm making myself finish the current book (Georgette Heyer) before I read it.
