Dell Computers part the Second

OK, three phone calls later... Kali came up trumps my Dell Vostro 1500 laptop is ordered. I'm getting a 15 inch screen, a 2 gig dual core processor, 3 gigs of Ram, a 250 gig hard drive, a webcam, It will have Windows XP pro instead of Vista. It also seems to have MS Works, though I'll remove that immediately in favour of Lotus Smartsuite.

Whoo-hoo. Looking forward to it.

I always think a new computer is a mixed blessing. It's lovely to have a new machine; it's such a pain to get everything transferred and set up just how you want!

Yes, agreed. But at least I'm not transferring in a panic with my old machin in smoking ruins (like I did last time).

I really want to make sure I don't have any rubbish transferred to this new one, so I'll be starting to slim down my current machine now. To be honest I'm nowhere near the limit of the 80g hard drive that I've already got. so the 250g one on the new machine will hardly have any work to do at first.
